On occasions she is well remembered as "Laurence…of Sacrée Soirée" or "Mme Cagnotte". Laurence Compain effectively spent seven years on "Sacrée Soirée" with Jean-Pierre Foucault. A quite exceptional experience in which she found herself in by chance. "The production and the person responsible for the programme's casting were looking for someone to host the programme's game, live on set. It was better in the afternoon when I did an audition walk and spoke about myself with GLEM production. I passed the casting without any particular thoughts going through my mind as the television industry was a world unknown to me and I had never thought about entering it. My career as a model was going from strength to strength."
Laurence was finally successful and was part of the enormous success of the programme until it finally came to an end in 1994. It was transmitted on every Wednesday, or Thursday if there was a football match on the previous evening. The programme had a viewing audience of more than 10 million and had between 45 and 50% of the market share. A success due to the original concept of "Sacrée Soirée", with surprises for its guests relating to their pasts. For her part, Laurence Compain hosted the game in which it was possible for someone to win 100 000 francs at the end of the programme and 10 000 francs at each prize draw, if the person who was called was able to give the date of birth of the guest who was on the previous set. She made a lot of people happy and was very much appreciated by the public at large.

After seven years, "Sacrée Soirée" ended, the last programme being shown on 29 June, 1994 with the broadcasting of the best moments from the show. Another life was about to start for Laurence, a life without television. "The finish of the programme happened at the right time for me as I was pregnant with my second child. It was not personally traumatic for me and after several months sabbatical I started out on my new career in the events industry. From "Sacrée Soirée" I have many fond memories of unforgettable moments in the company of famous French and international stars". But today, it is all down to her if her clients spend a "Sacrée Soirée".
